How Does It Work?

Using a device called a plasma pen a plasma plume is emitted that inflicts a controlled, superficial burn to the upper layer of the skin. The small electrical arc leaves a very small brown mark without causing bleeding or damage to the surrounding tissue. The cells of the connective tissue is stimulated to produce collagen as well as elastin which determine the elasticity of the skin. The result is skin tightening and more youthful appearance.

Scar Lightening, Skin Growths & Stretch Marks

The Healing Process

The controlled damage is superficial. However, a certain amount of discomfort will be experienced and some down time will be advisable for the more lengthy intensive procedures. Immediate following the treatment you may experience:

• Heat (the use of cooling packs recommended – ensure cleanliness
• Swelling (especially the eye area, some seeping may occur)
• Redness (the skin is red and slightly swollen)
